JOB SITE SAFETY INSPECTIONS

The recognition and correction of unsafe conditions and unsafe practices is a continuing responsibility of the supervisor while making his regular rounds.

Periodic safety inspections shall be conducted and recorded. Inspections shall take measures to reduce and eliminate occupational hazards associated with the work being performed. How frequently these inspections are needed will depend on the nature and size of the job. Daily, weekly, or monthly inspections may be reasonable intervals depending on the situations encountered. Each job site will have unique hazard characteristics that need to be stressed.

The inspection checklist on the following pages shall be used as the job site inspection record. Written corrective action will be rated and signed on all inspection checklists.
