GENERAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

As corporate officials, we consider accident prevention to be the utmost importance. Accident control involves the safety and well-being of our employees and the public, in addition to affection costs and profits. Management has every desire to provide a safe working environment for its employees. To accomplish this, it shall be the policy of ESCO Group to fulfill its obligations under 29CFR 1926.20 and 29CFR 1926.21, General Safety and Health Provisions. Under this policy ESCO Group shall:

  1. Not require employees to work in surrounding or under working conditions, which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to their health or safety.
  2. Have frequent and regular inspections of job-sites, materials and equipment made by competent persons. Any deficiencies found shall be corrected as needed. Machinery, tools, material or equipment in need of repair shall be either tagged inoperable, or shall be physically removed from the job-site/normal place of operation until repaired.
  3. Permit only those employees qualified by training or experienced to operate machinery and/or equipment.
  4. In an effort to eliminate any hazards, or other exposure to illness or injury, employees will be instructed in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions, and the regulations applicable to their work environment.
  5. Provide necessary Personal Protective Equipment and instructions for its use and care.
  6. Develop and enforce safety and health rules; requiring the employees cooperate with these rules, as a condition of employment.
  7. Investigate promptly and thoroughly every accident, to find the cause, and correct the problem so it won’t happen again.
